A.D. Rattray Stronachie 10 Year Old is a small-batch Highland single malt Scotch whisky created as a modern revival of the historic Stronachie name. A.D. Rattray recreates the character of the long-lost distillery using spirit produced at Benrinnes Distillery and matured exclusively in bourbon casks for a minimum of 10 years. Approximately 20 mature casks are selected for each batch and bottled at 43% ABV, producing a smooth and approachable whisky characterized by honeyed malt, earthy heather, biscuits, pepper and cereal notes.
Food Pairing: Pair with mature cheddar, honey-glazed nuts, buttery shortbread, roasted almonds, apple tart or vanilla-based desserts.
Tasting Notes: Smooth and balanced, combining soft honey and malty sweetness with earthy heather, biscuits, cereal and gently warming pepper.
Nose: Soft honey, earthy heather and malty sweetness.
Palate: Smooth and honeyed with sweet biscuits, followed by pepper and cereal notes.
Finish: Balanced and lingering, with malt sweetness, gentle pepper and cereal character.
