The Argonauts of the Gold Rush were forced to endure harsh and unforgiving conditions in the gold fields. The Saloon offered an escape from the reality of life as a miner. Fortune seekers often came from the table games and entertainment but stayed for the brandy libations.
Argonaut Saloon Strength was developed by bartenders for bartenders. Bottled at 91 proof, this blend allows today’s barkeeps to showcase the complexity and depth a Brandy can offer in cocktails. The blend is a complex one, made up of various grapes, dominantly Sultana, Pinot Grigio, Colombard, Chardonnay, and Muscat. 45% of the blend is young brandy around 2 years old, for bright fruit, citrus, and minerality, and the remainder is a range from 10 to 21 years old, lending rich depth, vanilla, nuttiness, savory oak, and spice. Try it in any classic Brandy cocktail, like an Original Sazerac or Sidecar.
