Colombo Fine Dry Marsala 750ml is a fortified wine produced in the Marsala D.O.C. area of western Sicily. Colombo makes the base wine from Inzolia, Catarratto, and Grillo grapes, then adds alcohol, mistella, and traditionally cooked grape must to reach the intended dry style. The exact consumer UPC and supplier item identify this single 750 mL bottle, while the producer specifies 18% ABV for the current Fine Dry Marsala.
The wine is aged for more than two years in Slavonian oak and includes 10% Marsala Superiore Dry that has itself matured for at least four years. Colombo describes hints of raisins and vanilla, followed by a dry, full, harmonious palate. It can be served as an aperitif with cheese and also used in fish, meat, and dessert preparations where a dry Marsala is appropriate. The bottle represents one finished fortified wine, not cooking seasoning, a multipack, or a sweet Marsala expression.
