History was quietly made in Atlanta. ASW Distillery shattered a ninety-year dry spell by firing up twin Vendome copper pot stills to forge the remarkable Fiddler Soloist. This ambitious project marks the city's first straight bourbon crafted completely in-house since Prohibition ruthlessly devastated the local Southern distilling landscape. They chose a labor-intensive double-distillation method to actively preserve the robust character of their grain. We truly cherish this historic milestone.
The grain recipe completely rewrites the rules. Instead of relying on cheap agricultural fillers, they constructed a highly complex four-grain architecture utilizing malted wheat, malted rye, and malted barley. Maturation in charred American oak transforms these heavily malted components into a velvety-smooth, incredibly dense liquid that captivates your palate. Bottled at a robust 100 proof, this unfiltered amber nectar delivers an unapologetic explosion of pure, concentrated flavor without overwhelming ethanol heat. It drinks beautifully right now.
Finding authentic craft whiskey demands serious patience. Commercial producers simply can't replicate the idiosyncratic depth lurking inside this specific six-year-old copper pot-stilled gem. The robust liquid acts as a flawless, vibrant conduit for deeply caramelized wood sugars and intricate layers of dark orchard fruit. You're tasting a genuinely finite snapshot of Georgia distillation that actively challenges the established Kentucky bourbon hierarchy with impressive swagger. Missing out feels like a massive mistake.
