This elegant and refreshing rosé originates from the Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of northern Italy. Produced by Cantina Mezzacorona under the Fildirose selection, this wine is crafted from Pinot Grigio grapes grown at the foot of the Dolomites. The winery's philosophy emphasizes the unique Alpine terroir, where mineral-rich soils and a cool climate allow for optimal aromatic ripening while preserving the grape's natural acidity and freshness. The name 'Fildirose' evokes an Alpine garden where wild rose bushes adorn the Dolomite landscape.
Wine Description
The Fildirose Pinot Grigio Rosé presents a delicate pink hue, achieved by leaving the juice in contact with the dark-skinned Pinot Grigio grapes for over eight hours. The sensory profile is very fresh and elegant, featuring an aromatic nose of red fruits, pink grapefruit, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, the wine is supple and lively, showcasing a vibrant acidity and a pleasant salinity that reflects its mountainous origin. It is characterized by its crisp, clean structure and subtle mineral undertones.
