Privada Storytelling
The Lanuza Mechudo is more than just a cigar — it’s the voice of Raul Lanuza, a third-generation tobacco craftsman from Estelí who is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new names in Nicaragua. Raised among the fields and factories of a region known as the “new Havana,” Lanuza has quietly mastered his art, waiting for the right moment to step into the spotlight.
With the Mechudo, his moment has arrived. Draped in a rich Habano Estelí wrapper, this robusto embodies his heritage and vision: a cigar that speaks boldly, balances tradition with innovation, and carries the spirit of Estelí in every draw. It’s the kind of cigar destined to be remembered as the start of something legendary.
Flavor Journey
The cigar opens with cedar and black pepper, establishing strength from the first puff. As it develops, roasted coffee and earth take center stage, while toasted nuts add warmth. The final third deepens with subtle cocoa and spice, leaving a smooth and flavorful finish that lingers long after the smoke fades.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Privada is about finding tomorrow’s legends today — and Lanuza Mechudo fits perfectly into that mission. Raul Lanuza’s blend captures the essence of modern Estelí while paying homage to his heritage. By giving this rising star a platform, Privada once again delivers rare, meaningful cigars that celebrate the art of the next generation.
