This vibrant red wine hails from Italy, specifically the Emilia Romagna region and the Forlì subregion. Poderi dal Nespoli is situated in the Bidente Valley, a locale noted for being the first 'Bio-Symbiotic District' in Italy. Founded in the late 1920s, the winery achieved a significant milestone in 1960 when the family transitioned from running a local trattoria to focusing entirely on high-quality viticulture. Today, the estate is led by the fourth generation of the Ravaioli family, who maintain a philosophy of communicating history and terroir through collaboration with esteemed winemakers like Riccardo Cotarella to showcase the true potential of Romagna Sangiovese.
Wine Description
The Prugneto Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore presents a brilliant and intense ruby red colour in the glass. The nose offers a generous and fruity bouquet dominated by aromas of cherry, plum, and red berries, layered with floral notes of violet and hints of dried flowers and black pepper. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and well-structured, where a lively freshness harmonizes with soft, silky tannins.
