RIEDEL’s Wine Friendly Decanter gives every bottle—from crisp whites to mature reds—a perfect place to breathe. The gently tapered neck and subtle optical pattern guide wine smoothly into the crystal bowl, encouraging controlled aeration that softens youthful tannins or simply removes bottle-aged sediment. Sized to slip inside a refrigerator door or rest in an ice bucket, it also keeps Champagne and other sparkling wines at service temperature while showing off their effervescence.
Machine-blown from clear crystal glass, this decanter balances professional performance with everyday practicality. Its classic silhouette suits casual dinners, bar carts, and elegant restaurant tables alike, making it an indispensable “friend” for beginners building their first toolkit or seasoned hosts who appreciate reliable, all-purpose design.
***** Additional Information *****
Created for RIEDEL’s Wine Friendly series—originally developed as universal mise-en-place glassware for the hospitality trade—this decanter embodies the collection’s mission: deliver quality crystal pieces that function brilliantly without demanding specialist knowledge or extra storage space. At 285 mm tall and with a 750 ml capacity, it is shaped to handle an entire standard bottle yet remains slim enough to fit common cooling solutions. Hand-washing is recommended, and RIEDEL’s own bottle-cleaning beads quickly remove red-wine stains from the interior walls to keep the crystal sparkling between uses.
